Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor Daniel Baker said: “We’re absolutely delighted to support this fantastic event which takes place in such a unique landmark of our city, the River Lagan. This inclusive event encourages people of all abilities to get out and get active with the option of either the 5k or 3k run. I wish all participants the best of luck.”

Kevin Murray, Participation Sport Manager at Queen’s said, “This popular race has grown to capacity over the years and we encourage runners of all abilities to sign up early to avoid disappointment and be part of one of the best 5k races in Northern Ireland.  The 3k ‘warm up race’ also offers a shorter route for junior athletes and participants of all abilities to get involved in a special night of running along the banks of the River Lagan in Belfast”

Captain of Queen’s Athletics Club, Nathan Lindsay commented: “We work very hard with University Staff, race partners and our student volunteers to put on a race that everyone enjoys and feels part of the Queen’s community.  This year all entrants will receive a specially branded free t-shirt and post-race hospitality available after the race in the main hall of the PEC.. Nathan added, “this is one event at Queen’s not to miss!”
